The Women’s Development Trust was established to:

• Relieve poverty and enhance women's opportunities
• To advance education of women from all sections of the community
• Support initiatives to motivate young women to achieve
• To serve as a referral point for women looking for services and agencies who can help them
• To promote self-help and an increased awareness for women through the provision of information, advice and opportunities for women to come together to discuss common problems and identify possible ways of overcoming them
• To encourage, support or initiate schemes which would improve the quality of life for women.

Services:

• Capacity building of women's organisations' staff and management
• Facilitation of strategic planning sessions for women led organisations
• Advice on gender appropriate provision
• Promotional activity for women's projects
